We appreciate the “Crusader for the Earth” sponsorship of Earth Day Yakima 2024 and 2025 by Washington Conservation Action whose motto is “Protecting People and Nature as One.”

Washington Conservation Action cares deeply about the land, air, water, and communities that sustain us as well as fairness in our political system.

Washington Conservation Action works with lawmakers, partners, and the public to pass legislation which advances environmental justice. Our focus areas include Climate & Clean Energy, Fossil Fuels, Forestry, and the Puget Sound.

We do this by strengthening democracy and organizing our communities. Our Political Program helps to elect environmental champions to office by recruiting leaders and getting out the vote for our pro-environment candidates. We hold our elected officials accountable by educating the community on their votes and pressuring our lawmakers to take action on environmental issues.

We recently launched our Tribal Nations program and Native Vote Washington, to partner with Washington tribes in advancing tribal sovereignty and indigenous leadership in our communities.
