Earth Day Yakima

A Day to Celebrate Our Valley

We don’t need a handful of people caring for the Earth perfectly,
we need millions of people doing it imperfectly.

We invite you to join us in celebrating Earth Day Yakima on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Sarg Hubbard Park from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. This fun, free, and family-friendly event aims to raise community awareness about environmental issues. Our celebration is part of a global movement that began in the United States in 1970, uniting people to learn and change practices harmful to our planet.

We’ll feature exhibits and activities designed to educate and engage visitors about how individuals, families, and businesses in the beautiful Yakima Valley can contribute to protecting the Earth. Our goal is for everyone to adopt sustainable practices daily, embodying principles such as Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rot, Replant, Respect, Refuse, Replenish, Rethink, Repair, Reinvent, Recover, Responsibility, and Restore.

Through this website, both before and after Earth Day Yakima, we aim to keep the spirit and learning alive throughout the year. We’re dedicated to celebrating and addressing the critical need to protect our planet and our lives as we navigate the future.

In Partnership with the Yakima Greenway Foundation

The Earth Day Yakima Team is planning our 2025 celebration! We are pleased to announce that this year we are working together with the Yakima Greenway to plan and execute the event on April 26, 2025 at Sarg Hubbard Park, in Yakima WA.

Our Earth Day Yakima celebration will be held concurrently with the Yakima Greenway’s Kid’s Fish In. The Fish In is an amazing event for the kids and families of our community.

By combining our work for the Yakima Community, we hope to celebrate all that the Yakima Valley offers while learning how we can all work to protect our precious earth.
